The Ultimate Stag is a stag do with a difference. Swap the usual bars and clubs for fire, axes, archery, venison, woodland camping and a proper outdoor adventure with your mates.
Based at Norden Wood near Corfe Castle, your 24-hour adventure starts in the woods with fire lighting, axe throwing, archery and a hands-on venison butchery workshop. After dinner around the campfire and a night under canvas, wake up to breakfast before heading to the coast for your choice of coasteering, kayaking or paddleboarding.

Start the afternoon learning ancient fire lighting techniques before taking on some competitive axe throwing and archery. There’s plenty of opportunity to challenge your mates and see who comes out on top.
Get hands-on with a whole deer during our venison butchery workshop, learning how to butcher and prepare the meat before sitting down to enjoy the results later that evening.
Settle around the campfire for a proper dinner before heading to your pre-pitched bell tents for the night. Wake up the next morning and cook your own breakfast over the fire before getting ready for the final part of your adventure.
Head to the Dorset coast for your final activity. Choose between coasteering, kayaking or paddleboarding and finish your stag weekend with a proper adventure on the water.
Friendly, qualified Land & Wave instructors who monitor conditions before and during every session.
Thick 5mm wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet. Just bring swimwear, a towel and trainers you don't mind getting wet.
Dinner and breakfast are included, along with overnight camping in basic pre-pitched bell tents during the camping season. Bring your own sleeping bag and pillow.
Get hands-on during a venison butchery masterclass, followed by venison steak and stew for dinner. A beef or veggie stew option is available if you choose the package without venison.

The Ultimate Stag is all about getting everyone involved, trying something different and spending proper time together. You’ll be outdoors, learning new skills, competing against your mates, eating around the campfire and finishing with an adventure on the coast.
It’s designed for groups of 8 or more. Smaller groups can still book but will be charged for 8 people.
Please note that this isn’t a party weekend. You cannot drink alcohol while taking part in the activities, and anyone arriving drunk will be turned away. You are welcome to bring drinks for around the campfire afterwards.

Day 1: True Bushcraft & Wilderness Vibes. We kicked things off in the woods, and the vibe was spot on from the get-go. The deer butchery session was an incredible, hands-on experience—fascinating, respectful, and highly rewarding (plus, it set us up with some unbelievable food) Venison steaks are the future!
Once we had the survival mindset going, we moved on to axe throwing and archery. The instructors Phil and Seamus were brilliant, keeping it safe but highly competitive.
We spent the night camping out under the stars right in the heart of the forest. It was the perfect setup to unwind, sink a few beers around the campfire, and properly catch up.
Day 2: High-Adrenaline Coasteering
Just when we thought the weekend couldn’t get better, Day 2 took it up a notch. We headed to the Dorset coast for coasteering. Jumping off cliffs, scrambling through swell, and exploring the coastline from the water was the ultimate way to cure any lingering hangovers. The guides Phil and Harry were total pros, pushing us out of our comfort zones while making sure everyone felt completely safe.
Land & Wave delivered the perfect mix of rugged bushcraft and high-octane adrenaline. The organisation was seamless, the instructors felt like part of the group, and the Dorset scenery was stunning.

The woodland part of the experience takes place at Norden Wood near Corfe Castle, Dorset. You’ll then travel to the coast the following morning for your chosen watersports activity.
The package includes fire lighting, archery, axe throwing and a hands-on venison butchery workshop, followed by your choice of coasteering, kayaking or paddleboarding the next morning.
Yes. The full weekend package includes overnight camping in pre-pitched bell tents. Camping is available from April to October. Outside of this period, you’ll need to choose the no-camping package and arrange your own accommodation.
The minimum group size is 8 people. Smaller groups are welcome but will be charged for 8 people.
