Land & Wave needs Seasonal Instructors and Lead Instructors during 2017.
We’re based in Swanage, Dorset on the Jurassic Coast.
Our Seasonal Staff are normally employed from April until the start of November (7 months)
We can offer some ‘short season’ roles for those who join us as an instructor or camp leader during June and July.
Accommodation is available. To be a Seasonal Instructor you will need to hold all of the essential qualifications listed below, plus some of the desirable ones. We pay our Seasonal Instructors £15,912 pa and they normally work 40 hours over a 5 day week.
To be a Lead Instructor you will need to hold all of the essential qualifications, many of the desirable ones and have at least 2 seasons of previous experience within the outdoor industry. We pay our Lead Instructors £18,000 pa and they normally work work 40 hours over a 5 day week.
Essential qualifications and experience
UKCC BCU Level 1 coach
SPA Training
Good experience running sessions like Team Building, Raft Building or Bushcraft.
Driving Licence
Coasteering for Youth Groups from Land & Wave on Vimeo.
Desirable qualification
SPA assessment
Coasteering experience and/or qualification
D1 mini bus driving license
BCU 3 or 4 star sea
An assessed walking qualification
Duke of Edinburgh Award Supervisor and Assessor
GNAS or Archery GB Archery Leader

Dorset offers superb opportunities for adventure; we have some of the best climbing, sea kayaking, coasteering, kite surfing and windsurfing in the country.
