KIDS CLUB
SUMMER This is an outdoor-based Kids Club, so we choose the best and safest activities for the weather conditions.
A typical week usually includes: Watersports at Sandbanks (Kayaking, Paddle boarding, Raft Building, Crabbing, Beach Games), Bushcraft in the woods (fire lighting, campfire cooking, archery) and Coasteering on the Jurassic Coast (weather dependant).
AUTUMN We head to the woods for 3 days. We'll pick up the children from Sandbanks by minibus and head to a different beautiful private woodland each day. The plan is a Zombie Archery Day, a Pumpkin Carving and Fire Lighting Day and a Halloween Fancy Dress and Bushcraft Cookery School Day. Prompt 08.30 arrival is essential so we can catch the 09.00 ferry. Don't be late!
For this 3-day woodland bonanza, make sure you wear old clothes and trainers. You'll be getting muddy - that's a given! You'll also need a packed lunch, warm layers, a waterproof jacket and refillable water bottle.
ADVENTURE TEENS
This adventurous week is a step up from the regular Kids Club - perfect for teens looking to do more:
Two days will focus on advanced Bushcraft skills; using knives, campfire cookery and activities such as axe throwing and archery. Two days will be spent in the water paddle boarding and kayaking, practicing skills that will culminate in an epic Kayak journey out to Old Harry Rocks. The remaining day will be spent clambering, climbing and jumping in a mega Coasteering adventure along the Jurassic Coast.
All of these activities will be subject to change due to weather- we'll always choose the safest AND most fun activity for your teens!
Our Summer programmes are heavily water-based, so we recommend your children are confident in the water and can swim. If your child is joining a summer Kids Club that includes Coasteering, they must be able to swim at least 25 metres and be confident in the sea and moving water. If your child cannot swim, then they will repeat a dry activity such as bushcraft.
