To be a great Lead Operations / Transport Manager, we’re looking for a forward-thinking individual, with logistics experience to join our adventure operations team
At Land & Wave, we’re all about real adventures on the Jurassic Coast, and we’re on the lookout for skilled, organised people to join our team.
You’ll be required to combine outdoor instructor skills and logistical planning experience to support the busy operations team.
The instructor side of this role looks like this:
- Leading sea kayaking tours to Old Harry Rocks
- Taking groups coasteering in stunning venues
- Rock climbing on coastal limestone cliffs
- Paddle boarding on serene seas, rivers, and lakes
- Teaching bushcraft (friction fire lighting, deer butchery, fish and game prep)
- Guiding Jurassic Coast expeditions
The operations / transport side of this role looks like this: - Looking after our fleet of minibuses
- Ensuring we are DVSA compliant and roadworthy
- Planning transport logistics each day
- Booking MOT’s, selling busses, Taco checks
- Staffing and rota planning

Skills & Qualifications We’re Looking For:
Solid people skills are key. We need someone who’s great at leading groups, solving problems, and looking after people. Plus, being warm, friendly, and up for a challenge will fit right in with our team. You’ll need to possess a strong logistical, systematic way of working.
Must-have Qualifications:
- PSV Transport Manager CPC Qualification
- Paddlesport Leader
- Lowland Leader Award (or equivalent)
- NWSMP and/or Beach Lifeguard NVBLQ and/or SLS Surf Lifeguard
- Coasteering NCC Guide Award Training
- Personal Performance Award (SUP/Kayak/Canoe)
- NCFE Bushcraft Instructor Level 2 / 3 or equivalent
- RCI Training
- Outdoor First Aid Level 3
- At least 2 years experience in an outdoor instructor role
Nice-to-have (but not essential):
- SUP Coastal Leader/Coach
- DofE Assessor
- Sea Kayak Leader Training / Canoe Leader Training
- RLSS Beach Lifeguard
- D1 and CPC
- RCI Assessment
- First Aid trainer / Assessor and/or RLSS Trainer Assessor
- Mental Health First Aid Trainer
- Safeguarding Trainer
- Mountain Leader
