A GCSE Field Studies residential with Land & Wave is an unforgettable experience.
We have an expert team including qualified geography and history teachers who will ensure that every detail of your field studies aims and objectives are thoroughly exceeded. With the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast on our actual doorstep, we’re ideally placed for any physical geography work you can think of; from the classic longshore drift with tennis ball and markers on Swanage Bay, to geological investigations whilst abseiling or climbing at Dancing Ledge. There are just so many options you can choose from.
We are also excellently positioned for human geography with tourism studies possible in Swanage (how the overnight population can quadruple in the summer months!) and also nearby Poole, Bournemouth and Boscombe offering classic options such urban land use and urban regeneration near the coast.

We can be extremely flexible with our trips to support your school’s individual aims, objectives and learning journey. If you’re looking for a little more in terms of adventurous activities than the usual trip to the seaside, look no further, we can make this happen for you.
With two qualified teachers within our team (including a geography specialist with head of department experience), let us take the stress and hassle out of the field studies residential. We’ll ensure learning objectives are thoroughly and diligently planned to support both your school aims for the trip and your students aims for their fieldwork.
We have a range of accommodation to choose from to suit your group size. From large scale hotel accommodation for entire year-groups, through to an exclusive-use property for class sizes of up to 30, we can cover it all. We even have bell-tent camping for the warmer months.
Our Schools Manager will look after your booking and collect all the dietary and medical information direct from parents using our Schools Portal software. This will be the easiest trip you’ve ever organised!
