The Dorset Video Project for Dorset Children’s Foundation
The end of the project and its nine month journey was marked with a premier that raised £415 for the Dorset Children’s Foundation.
The Dorset Children’s Foundation is an independent local charity dedicated to improving the lives of sick and disabled children living in Dorset.
A packed crowd of supporters, friends and family came together at the headquarters of Jimmy’s Iced Coffee on the evening of last month, where teams from the National Trust, Poole and Bournemouth Tourism, Conker Gin, Cumulus Outdoors, SAXX Underwear, The Project Climbing Centre and Visit Dorset all came together to mark the occasion over drinks, conversation and even a little bit of freshly baked pizza.
During the event, the Land & Wave crew sold limited edition prints that encapsulated a new fresh and dynamic take on Dorset, with never before seen views and angles captured by the filmmakers, Brady Gee and Arran Witheford.
What mass gathering isn’t complete without a raffle? Prizes were donated from all the supporting companies, ranging from a crate of Jimmy’s Iced Coffee, an Elliot Brown Watch, a pop up dining experience from Crab Apple Catering to a £100 Land & Wave ‘Disconnect to Reconnect’ Adventure voucher.
Land & Wave co-founder Owen Senior said: “The Dorset Video Project was a chance for organisations, brands and human beings to work together and create something beautiful, something that we hope might change the way people think about Dorset (even just a little bit).
“The whole process has been exciting, interesting and uplifting – we can’t wait until next year”.
Land & Wave’s, David Mutton, presented the cheque at the Dorset Children’s Foundation in Southbourne, just in time for Christmas.
