About Land & Wave
We deliver school trips for up to 250 school children each week.
They’re a hungry bunch, so you’re tasked with serving them breakfast and dinner with a smile Monday – Friday in our big, bright dining marquee. You and your team-mates are responsible for setting up before meals and working alongside our caterers to ensure meal service goes swimmingly. Then you’ll work together to clean down at the end.
This is a min 24-hour/week contract, but there’s plenty of work if you want full time hours each week. Through the peak period.
Some people choose to just work the breakfast shift 06.30 – 10.30 and dinner shift 16.30 – 20.30 and enjoy time off during the day to have their own climbing and watersports adventures at the local cliffs / beach / countryside. Others prefer to work a mixture of shifts, including daytime work, which includes maintenance and tent pitching.
You’ll have most weekends off.
If you’d like to gain experience delivering activities to children during your season, then we’d love to train you up for free. Activities include: pioneering (building massive catapults), slip & slide, Archery Tag, Sports and Mini-Olympics, Team Building and Night Line. This is entirely option – obviously you’ll be paid for all the hours you work.
Swanage is bloody lovely. It’s a seaside town, with golden sand, friendly folk and loads of adventure activities on the doorstep. You’re welcome to borrow paddle boards on your days off to go exploring.
