As part of our Blue Friday message, for every purchase of a Land & Wave Adventure Voucher, Land & Wave will donate £5 to Surfers Against Sewage (SAS).
We don’t believe in Black Friday
Let’s get this straight, we don’t believe in Black Friday. It got out of control a few years back when people actually started fighting in the shops over Flat Screen Televisions!
It’s now a thorn in our sides as it encourages consumers to buy something that they don’t need, didn’t want last week and that has no wider purpose beyond that initial purchase. ‘But, its 46% off! So I just can’t miss out!’
Give us strength!
Going our own way with Blue Friday
As you know, at Land & Wave we plough our own furrow and we do things our way. So, to counter the zeitgeist we’re running Blue Friday instead.
Blue Friday will last until the end of November and is part of our Disconnect to Reconnect campaign, where we are encouraging people to step away from their phone, their computers, their (insert streaming TV service here) and get outside and explore their surroundings.
During the seven days of Blue Friday, for every purchase of a Land & Wave Adventure Voucher, Land & Wave will donate £5 to Surfers Against Sewage (SAS).
Surfers Against Sewage
SAS are an amazing charity based in Cornwall, with a national reach that is helping fight plastic pollution and protect our beautiful coastline.
We’re supporting them this ‘buying’ season as we know they are doing great work and want to shine a little light their way. We’re committed to championing the outdoor life so that means helping look after it and supporting the others that do too.
Every £5 donated to SAS helps organise beach cleans, plastic free communities and challenge corporations on their policies.
More information about SAS and how you can help locally can be found on their website.
