Based at our site on Sandbanks beach, Land & Wave are pleased to announce: Adventure Teens! The holiday camp for 13-17 year olds. The 5 Day camp will debut in may half term, running from Monday 27th to Friday 31st May. It feature all of our essential adventure activities you would expect: from water to woodland. If you’re active and love the outdoors this is by far the best way to spend your summer. This week of activities will give you skills you can take away with you as well as allow you to improve skills you already have.
The week will be in 3 main sections:
Day 1 – Advanced Bushcraft: Knife Skills and Fire lighting
Day 2 – Campfire Cookery, Axe throwing
Day 3 – Paddle Extravaganza and Jumbo Paddleboarding
Day 4- Kayak to Old Harry
Day 5 – Coasteering
Advanced Bushcraft
Become a woodland warrior with 2 days of survival skills and bushcraft. Nestled in the woodland near the famous village of Corfe Castle, turn your hand to fire making and camp cookery, all with a picturesque view of the castle ruins. Learn knife skills and how to fillet and cook your own fish for lunch. Prepare for the apocalypse with axe throwing and archery before ending the day round the camp fire that YOU built.
Kayak to Old Harry Rocks
Dorset is one of the most perfect places for watersports, with locations for all weather and all activities. See the Jurassic coast from a new angle; paddleboard or kayak in the beautiful Studland bay or around the iconic Brownsea Island. Challenge yourself to paddle out to Old Harrys Rocks; or just build a human pyramid on a Mega Sup. As part of Adventure Teens you’ll get amazing tuition from our instructors, ensuring you have the best time possible!
Courageous Coasteering
Coasteering in Dorset is an incredible way to explore the coastline from the water. You’ll swim, scramble, climb and leap from rocks, explore incredible caves and play in the surf. Centred around the legendary dancing ledge, our routes are suitable for all abilities, with low level jumps or challenging heights, coastal features and rocks to navigate… we have it all. Don’t worry if the weather is turning wet and windy, we’ll take you climbing instead!
If that’s not enough for you, we’ll finish the week with an afternoon trip to the historic village of Corfe Castle or, weather dependant, a championship of archery tag.
All the Activities are weather dependant and there is flexibility to which days different activities will take place- either way an amazing week of outdoor escapades will be had!

The camp will run between the hours of 08.30 and 16.30, Monday 27th May to Friday 31st May. The days activities may not keep us at sandbanks but we always aim to be back at sandbanks for a 16.30 pick up. Depending on the days activities, you will need different kit with you as well as a packed lunch. A full kit list and more details will be provided after booking.
