Sea Kayaking in Croatia | Simple Travel Guide
Croatia is on the Eastern Mediterranean and is a paradise for Sea kayaking.
It is partly made up of 718 Islands, 389 Islets and 78 Reefs.
Only 47 of the Islands have people living on them so you can land on almost any island and be on your own.
Clean, clear, warm water and space to explore and spend nights under the stars.
Croatia borders the Adriatic sea, the body of water between Italy and the Balkans and is warm and sunny right through until the end of September.
Surface water temperature gets up to 30 degrees C in summer. It’s perfect for sea kayaking, snorkelling and swimming.]
Krk (pronounced Kirk) is the largest island in Croatia and is in the North of the Country, less than a 2 hour flight from London Gatwick.
The other islands are well connected with regular car/passenger ferries.
We stayed on the island of Rab which is the 5th biggest island in Croatia
We hired Sea Kayaks on Rab island and explore plenty of islands and crossed some beautiful, safe, open stretches of water.
Sea Kayaking is very, very popular in Croatia and there are lots of options from a half day kayak hire through to multi-day guided expeditions.
We love Croatia and will be heading back in soon to visit more beautiful islands in this spectacular country.
