Purbeck families are invited to join Land & Wave in the woods for a fantastic morning connecting with nature and each other. Gather around a cosy campfire as a family and learn natural fire lighting skills, explore the beautiful woodland and enjoy your stunning local woodland.
Who’s it for: Suitable for ages 7+ (parental supervision required – 1 adult to up to 3 kids).

SEA SAFE SKILLS – Sea Confidence for Purbeck Families
Monday 14 April (Easter Holidays) 10.00 – 11.30
Purbeck Families – do you live by the sea but rarely dip a toe? Build your sea confidence with this fun, interactive session in Swanage Bay. Led by trained Beach Lifeguards, this is your chance to get comfortable being in the sea, playing in moving water and enjoying the benefits of the ocean. Taking place at North Beach in Swanage, this 1-hour session includes:
– Wetsuit hire
– Intro to sea safety
– Interactive games to get you used to being in waves and moving water
– Confidence building tips to enjoy the sea safely
Who’s it for: Purbeck families (aged 8+) who can swim
Ability: Basic level of swimming required i.e be able to swim the width of a pool
Purbeck families: £3.00pp
Non-Purbeck residents: £15.00pp

Purbeck Goes Wild is a dedicated initiative aimed at connecting children, young people and their families in the Purbeck area with the rich natural landscapes that surround them. The program offers a variety of opportunities for exploration and learning across Purbeck’s diverse habitats, ensuring that every child has the chance to experience the wonders of nature firsthand. As an outdoor adventure education company based in Swanage, Dorset, we’re committed to fostering a deep connection between young people and the outdoors. As part of the community programme, Land & Wave offers subsidised school sessions and family workshops.
