Our History
Way back in the midsts of time (2009), when Owen’s beard was tiny and David’s hair was only slightly grey, they talked and talked about starting an Adventure Company. One day their girlfriends (now wives) told them to stop wanging on and actually DO it. So they did…
With a hard saved £600 each and a couple of laptops in Owen’s front room, Land & Wave was born.
Today the company is thriving; with four directors, one partner and eight managers keeping things running ship shape. Add in a crew of around 35 amazing seasonal instructors and you have all the ingredients you need to help people have amazing adventures in the great outdoors.

Our people
We’re a close-knit bunch of family and friends who love working together and creating amazing adventures for everyone. Human beings are at the heart of everything we do. Every year our full time team is bolstered by around 35 energetic beauties that help us though Spring, Summer and Autumn. Our wonderful seasonal instructors are, without doubt, the best in the business.

Where we are
We’re based in Swanage, bang in the middle of the Dorset coast; it’s an amazing place to live, work and play. We have pop up bases in Devon, South Wales and Snowdonia that are incredible for Challenge Weeks and Outdoor Instructor Training. We’re outdoor people and we get to spend almost every day adventuring, jumping in the sea, working in the woods, walking up hills or playing on sea cliffs.
