Why choose this course?
This course is an intensive fast track way to get National Governing Body qualifications that will make you employable as an outdoor instructor. You will gain essential qualifications that will help you find meaningful work in the outdoor industry.
You will be trained by professional coaches who will develop your paddling skills and get you ready to complete your assessments - all within 7 weeks.
Will I get a job at the end of it?
Yes! If you work hard, put the hours in and pass your assessments, then you will have a CV loaded with very attractive qualifications that outdoor employers look for.
What's the accommodation like?
The course includes accommodation and food during your 7-week training period.
You'll stay in a traditional stone-built farmhouse in Dorset. This outdoor centre has great social space with log burners. Twin rooms are provided, although there is the option to upgrade to a single room for a supplement.
During your stay you'll get a hot breakfast, packed lunch and heart hot evening meal each day, including weekends. There is plenty of parking. You're welcome to bring bikes, boats and other outdoor equipment if you want to.
How intensive is the training?
There's a lot to get through, so you will be required to train 09.00 - 17.00 for 5 days a week.
You will have 2 days off per week.
What equipment do I need?
You will need a drysuit, wetsuit booties, wetsuit gloves, winter wetsuit, water helmet, buoyancy aid, safety know and rope.
We provide an optional discounted Kit Package for £675, which provides all of the above, or you're welcome to bring your own gear instead.
