All prices are per person unless otherwise stated Dorset Group Climbing: Morning, Afternoon or Evening, 3hrs, from £40 to £50 This is for groups of 6 or more. A climbing session designed to give you the best possible experience of rock climbing and abseiling based at a stunning sea cliff location on Dorset’s Jurassic coast.  The group will have the opportunity to try numerous climbs under the supervision of our experienced and qualified instructors. All safety equipment is provided and no experience is necessary. Minimum age for group rock climbing is 8. Minimum group size 6; maximum group size 14 - Land & Wave can cater for more than one group. Land & Wave offer significant discounts on advertised prices for large group bookings (30+) - e.g. Schools, Scouts, Corporate Events. Land & Wave provide a voucher service for group climbing, vouchers are redeemable within the current season. Dorset Climbing Introduction: Morning, Afternoon or Evening, 3hrs, £50 This course is designed to teach the fundamental skills of rock climbing. Based outdoors you will receive high quality equipment and tuition. No prior experience is necessary. Minimum age is 14. Skills Developed: Fitting a harness and helmet correctly Tying a safe climbing knot Belaying a climber (E.g. holding a rope to prevent falling) Climbing Technique, including how to come down Dorset Climbing Improver - 10:00-15:00 (single day). £85 This course gives you the opportunity to practice skills on real rock. Abseiling is included in this course. Attendance of climbing 1 or experience of rock climbing required. Minimum age is 14. Skills Developed: Transferal from indoor venues Awareness of equipment Useful knots for rock climbing Consolidation of skills learnt on Climbing 1 Movement and technique on real rock Dorset Climbing Confidence - 10:00-15:00 (single day). £85 Enhance your skills, building confidence to climb independently. Attendance of Climbing 1 & 2 or relevant experience is required for this course. Minimum age is 14. Skills Developed: Using a local guide book Assessing risk at outdoor venues Consolidation of skills learnt on Climbing 2 Improving movement technique and pushing your 'grade' Using a variety of belay techniques Further awareness of equipment Dorset Climbing Real Rock - 10:00-15:00 (two days). £150 This course is designed for those with some rock climbing experience. Minimum age is 14. This course will cover: Developing your movement skills on a variety of rock climbs Experience sport climbing Abseil safely Enjoy the stunning Dorset coastline Activity Details Land & Wave use a variety of crags along the Isle of Pubeck Coastline. Our meeting point is the car park beyond and up the track from Langton House (Grid Reference - 998, 784 on OS Map).  Please be aware this can be extremely busy during the summer period.  Please click here for a Google Map.  Land & Wave will provide helmets, harnesses and required hardware.  You may wish to bring your own specialist climbing shoes.  All sessions involve a 20 minute walk to and from the coastline.  You will need to wear clothing suitable for being active and the prevailing weather conditions.   Please remove any jewelry and watches prior to your session.  You recommend you bring food and drink. Participants are responsible for ensuring they carry essential medical equipment such as inhalers, epipens etc.   All sessions are delieverd by an SPA Assessed or MIA Assessed Instructor, as appropriate.
